LAUTUS ballet shoes
A modern take on the ballet shoes, exploring with material that are used in today's athletic sneakers for the user's comfort. This project started out with me only designing for men's ballet shoes because they've always worn the same classic black ballet shoe. I wanted to create a soft, but still masculine look. I went on to also create a women's modern style.
Starting off with some thumbnails, I explored different possible styles, playing with materials and also the idea of having thicker straps.
